Eurex recorded encouraging first day trading volumes on its SLI Swiss leader index product.

The exchange traded 315 futures and 520 options were traded on the contract’s debut on 22 October, while the second trading day has seen 785 futures traded and 1,631 options traded at the time of going to press.

The SLI index includes the 30 most liquid and largest stocks on the Swiss stock market and has been calculated by SWX Swiss Exchange.

The Merc says it still has Asia in its sights
