Eurex to launch inflation contracts

Eurex will go head-to-head with CME Group when it launches inflation futures, representing in yet another foray by the exchange into a new asset class following the revelation that the European bourse will launch emission futures.The Euro-zone contract, which is scheduled to be launched on 21 January, will be linked to the harmonised consumer price index.
