ASX paces world with exchange CFD launch

Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) will launch on-exchange contracts for difference (CFDs) on 5 November, becoming the first exchange worldwide to do so. Several other platforms, including London Stock Exchange (LSE), have explored the possibility of winning business from the OTC CFD market, which is widely used by traders and funds to take leveraged positions especially in individual equities.
