Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) recorded a new open interest records on 22 October. Exchange –wide open interest of 1.23m contracts on 22 October, exceeding the previous record of 1.20m contracts set on 17 October. Additionally, on the same day, open interest of the white sugar futures contracts at the exchange hit a new high again at 553,364 contracts, exceeding the last record of 532,798 contracts set on 11 October. ZCE also recorded a new open interest record on its cotton futures contract peaked at 171,230 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 163,534 contracts set on 17 October.
Singapore Commodity Exchange set a new open interest record of 39,480 tonnes for its ribbed smoked bacon contract on 22 October. This surpasses the previous record of 38,160 tonnes which was set on 24 September.
