OMX will make binary options available on its electronic trading platform, Click/Secur from 26 November.

Initially the exchange will list binary options available for Ericsson B, Nokia (EUR) and OMXS30 index as underlyings and will look to extend the offering in the near future with more binary options on a selection of the most traded Nordic stocks.

"While we support its overall direction, a number of the requirements in the review are needlessly oppressive, particularly the proposed limits on execution-only business and bilateral execution. Additionally, the swathe of costly disclosure obligations is more likely to confuse than inform customers.”
