New York Mercantile Exchange recorded a rise in net income of 54% with earnings totalling $62.57m, representing a new exchange record. The total surpasses the 2006 total of $40.72m. The exchange reported that operating revenues for the third quarter ended 30 September, rose 25% to a record $173.2m compared to $138.3m for the third quarter 2006.

Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) recorded healthy trading volumes on its crude palm oil during the first trading session. However, despite strong volumes the success of the contracts was checked by trading limits imposed by the Chinese government. Five out of six palm oil futures contracts surged to the daily allowable limits on the first trading day on the DCE.
