John Thain has resigned from his position as chief executive officer at NYSE Euronext to take up a position as chairman and CEO at Merrill Lynch. Thain oversaw the merger between the New York Stock Exchange and Euronext which was completed in April. Thain will be replaced by Duncan Niederauer...
