ICE to end open-outcry for futures trading


Intercontinental Exchange’s board of directors has voted to end open-outcry trading for futures contracts at the end of February 2008.

In a statement, the exchange said the moved was prompted by trading patterns with trading in futures contracts primarily undertaken electronically.

Trading in ICE Futures U.S. futures products will be available exclusively on the ICE platform 3 March 2008.

Open-outcry trading for all...
