Nasdaq Options Exchange set to go

Nasdaq Options Exchange is gearing up for its March 31 opening as the seventh US equity options market with an eye on its technology winning market share.

Adam Nunes, vice president, transaction services at Nasdaq Stock Market said Nasdaq’s price-time priority model and a price improvement mechanism will help the exchange in the new and growing list of penny increment option names. Nasdaq still plans to grow its options business organically and complement it with the pending acquisition of Philadelphia Stock Exchange, the number three exchange by volume.
