NCDEX confident its carbon product will be Indian benchmark

Early signs following the launch of carbon futures at India’s National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) suggest the firm may have been right to list a contract based on the Indian carbon emission reduction (CER) protocol rather than following the lead of rival Multi Commodity Exchange in basing a contract on an international benchmark.
