Trading places


CME Group has suffered a second loss to its UK operations, with another high-profile departure from its London office. Arman Falsafi, CME Group’s managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, will return to the US. Falsafi’s departure comes hot on the heels of that of Cathryn Lyall, who served as managing director EMEA at CME Group. Lyall left to join interdealer broker Icap last month. Falsafi will return to the exchange’s Chicago head office in August. Falsafi, who joined the CME in 1999 and was stationed in Chicago, became head of the European operations in 2004 and moved to London. After the CME bought Chicago Board of Trade for $11.7bn in 2007, she became head of the region’s combined operations.
