David Hardy has left his position at MF Global to pursue a new challenge in the world of golf. Hardy, who was hired by the brokerage in February 2007 as head of strategic development, parted company with MF Global in the week commencing April 21. Hardy joined MF Global from LCH Clearnet where he had served as CEO for 19 years. Hardy left LCH Clearnet in July, 2006. Most recently, Hardy has been playing an influential role in Project Rainbow. Hardy has left the City to pursue opportunities in another project he has a keen interest in Power Play Golf. The new derivation on the sport is aimed at developing the traditional game similar to the way Twenty20 cricket did so.
