London Metal Exchange (LME) has chosen Sri Lankan software company, Millennium IT, to provide its new system for matching and registering trades (SMART).
LME will separate its matching operations from LCH Clearnet, which has provided the exchange with systems for 22 years. LCH Clearnet will itself develop and operate a new clearing platform.
