LCH Clearnet downgraded by S&P

LCH Clearnet has had its outlook downgraded to negative from stable by ratings agency, Standard & Poor’s.
The clearinghouse’s ratings were simultaneously affirmed with its long term ‘AA-’ and ‘A-1+’ short-term ratings on the company noted by S&P.

The downgrade was due to LCH Clearnet’s precarious market position in light of the emergence of ICE Clear and Liffe Clear.
