Former Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) head, Bernie Dan, appears to be the front runner for the top executive spot at TSX Group.
A report, first published by the Toronto Globe & Mail, said Dan was chosen as board members debated about who should take the reins at the exchange, once it formally completes its acquisition of Montreal Exchange (MX) in June.
The deal comes in the wake of the sudden departure of TSX CEO Richard Nesbitt in January, which left MX CEO Luc Bertrand as the frontrunner to head the soon-to-be-combined exchange. Bertrand was already tabled as deputy CEO...
