Nymex shareholders pressuring top execs

New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) dissident shareholders are increasing pressure to oust Nymex chairman Richard Schaeffer and CEO and president Jim Newsome.

Cataldo Capozza, an original Nymex member and shareholder, who filed a class action suit against the proposed CME Group offer of roughly $8.2bn for Nymex, told FO Week that he is calling for the resignation of Schaeffer and Newsome and dissident shareholders are actively pursuing new leadership for the exchange.
