Eurex has reported substantial growth in trading volume on its single stock futures. The exchange said that volume has risen 196% during the first five months of 2008 year-on-year. Up to the end of May, a total of 95m contracts changed hands in this segment, surpassing the 32m contracts that were traded in the same period during 2007. Eurex said that, compared to the overall European market, Eurexs share in the asset class is 55%. Eurex offers 573 single stock futures out of 17 countries and in four currencies.
