Trading places

Steve Sparke will join Marex as COO and a member of the Group board. He will have responsibility for technology, operations and the overall control environment of the company. The board has also asked Steve to oversee the build out of Marex Financial Futures business.Sparke is currently chairman of Futures and Options Association (FOA), and is also a non-executive director of technology provider, Patsystems. Sparke was previously global head of UBS futures and options business before leaving in April 2006 and was a director of NYSE Euronext Liffe until stepping down last November to take up the FOA chairmanship.
