Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange has set a new open interest record in its rapeseed oil futures following trading on June 23. Open interest in rapeseed oil futures peaked at 50,392 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 48,290 contracts set on March 31.
NYSE Euronext’s strategic partnership with Doha Securities Market (DSM) will see the State of Qatar build a new derivatives and cash exchange. The transaction, whereby NYSE Euronext bought up a 25% stake in DSM for $250m in cash, will eventually see the development of a new, internationally integrated cash and derivatives exchange in Doha with direct links to the know how and technology skills of the world’s largest capital markets, the exchange said in a statement.
