South Korea launches agricultural derivatives


South Korea will open Asia’s first lean hog futures market next month, launching the country’s first agricultural derivatives product on the domestic stock exchange, the Korea Exchange said.

The product may trigger the way for commodity derivatives, as deregulation in the financial sector from next February will encourage product diversity.
