CME interest rate vols slide in July

CME Group’s interest rate complex volume continued to slide in July, dropping 16% from a year earlier as the credit crunch continues to choke financial markets.

CME’s interest rate contracts averaged 5.95m contracts per day, down from 7.04m a year earlier.
