OSE ditches ISE venture

The Osaka Securities Exchange has abandoned a joint venture with the International Securities Exchange to establish a shared options trading platform in Japan. Insiders say the Japanese bourse wants to focus its efforts on strengthening its own offering in the face of a growing threat from the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
