Inspector sets clock ticking on probe into truth of CFTC report


The inspector general of the Commodities Futures Trading Commission has begun his investigation into claims made by four US senators that an interagency report on oil trading was manipulated. The senators have imposed a deadline of September 19 for the investigation to conclude.
