CME Group is to launch nine new over-the-counter energy and commodity contracts as it continues to move into the energy market, capitalising on demand for the security of exchange-based clearing.
The US exchange will introduce two contracts on gasoil, five on gas liquids and two on plastics on November 3. These energy contracts have traditionally been traded over the counter.
