The Dubai International Financial Exchange has changed its name to Nasdaq Dubai. The change, on Tuesday November 18, comes the day before the exchange launches derivatives trading for the first time.
The Dubai-based exchange has changed its name to reflect the input of Nasdaq, which bought a third of the shares in February 2008. State-owned Borse Dubai is the majority shareholder, owning the other two thirds.
