Ukrainian Exchange, backed by RTS, to open in first quarter

The Ukrainian Exchange, a new venture backed by Moscows Russian Trading System stock exchange, will start trading in the first quarter of 2009 after winning regulatory clearance to organise trading.
The Securities and Stock Market State Commission of the Ukraine approved the exchange for securities trading on December 16. It will require separate approval to begin derivatives trading.
