The US Congress yesterday unveiled the Omnibus Appropriations Act 2009, which includes $146m for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. This is more than was expected – on February 4 the president’s budget for fiscal year 2009 included a recommended $130m of funding for the CFTC.
