G20 protests – some peaceful, some violent – leave markets intact


Several thousand left wing, green and peace protesters gathered outside the Bank of England and on Bishopsgate in the City of London around midday today (April 1), to highlight issues ranging from climate change to the credit crunch, poverty and war.

Leaders of the G20 nations are meeting in east London tomorrow (April 2) to discuss responses to the financial crisis.
