Forts breaks volume record as new euro contracts thrive


Forts, the derivatives arm of Moscow’s Russian Trading System Stock Exchange, broke its monthly record for trading volume in March.

Futures trading rose 37% over February’s level, to 33.5m contracts – more than double the 16.5m traded in March 2008. That volume surpassed the previous record of 28.3m contracts, set in July 2008.
