Nasdaq OMX profits hit by lower derivative and technology revenue


Nasdaq OMX’s derivatives trading revenue fell 3.5% in the first quarter, relative to the same period a year ago, as the exchange group’s overall profits shrank by 22%.

Net exchange revenues from derivatives totalled $55m, down $2m, but $1m better than in the fourth quarter of 2008.
