Eurex adds pigs and potatoes to commodities menu


Eurex plans to introduce four new agricultural futures in July, expanding its nascent commodities segment. The Frankfurt-based bourse will offer cash-settled index futures for hogs, piglets, London potatoes and European processing potatoes.

Peter Reitz, member of the Eurex executive board, said in a statement that the exchange was moving into agricultural derivatives as part of its strategy of offering all important asset classes.
