CME offers 25 ton sulphur dioxide contracts, rivalling CCFE


CME Group’s New York Mercantile Exchange will introduce smaller sized sulphur dioxide futures and options on July 13.

The new instruments will be for 25 emission allowance units, covering a total of 25 tons of SO2. This is a quarter the size of Nymex’s existing contracts. The minimum price fluctuation will be $2.50 a contract....
