Simmons lawyer highlights gaps in EC plans for OTC derivatives


There are many grey areas in EU plans to re-regulate the over-the-counter derivatives market, for which a preliminary outline was published today, according to a leading law firm.

Andre Allee, a derivatives partner at the London firm of Simmons & Simmons gave a conference call about the proposals this afternoon (July 3), in which he said the policy paper published this morning failed to address a number of questions.
