US and European exchanges cleared to bid for Warsaw Stock Exchange


Poland’s Ministry of the Treasury has shortlisted four candidates that have qualified to negotiate about buying the Warsaw Stock Exchange, as the Polish exchange moves a step closer to privatisation.

Nasdaq OMX, NYSE Euronext, Deutsche Börse and London Stock Exchange are all interested in acquiring a majority stake in the exchange, the Ministry said in a statement yesterday (July 22).
