Congressional committee passes second OTC bill, FIA dismisses position limit element


The Agriculture Committee of the US House of Representatives has passed a bill for reforming the over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives market, the second such proposal to be approved by US politicians in the last week.
The Over-The-Counter Derivatives Market Act, approved by the committee in a vote on October 21, would require all swaps to be executed through an exchange or electronic platforms.
