Spanish bourse plans OTC trade repository, argues for interoperability


Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, the Spanish exchange, plans to introduce a trade repository for over-the-counter derivatives, to satisfy the demand from many countries’ regulators for more transparency in the market.

Jesus Benito, CEO of Iberclear, the Spanish central securities depository owned by BME, told Futures and Options Intelligence that the exchange would open the repository in the summer of 2010.
