CFTC gives more time to comment on limiting ICE power contracts


The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has extended the comment period on whether 11 over-the-counter electricity contracts offered for trade by Intercontinental Exchange perform a significant price discovery function, after it received “substantial interest”.

The US futures regulator invited public comment on the significance of the 11 contracts on October 6, setting a 15 day deadline for feedback.
