Copenhagen update: Reform of Clean Development Mechanism seen as close


Reaching agreement on reform of the Clean Development Mechanism is a real possibility at the Copenhagen Climate Conference, a leading lobbyist for the wind power industry said today (December 17).

Steve Sawyer, secretary general of the Global Wind Energy Council, which is part of the Climate Solutions Business Coalition, said “The CDM discussion is the only quasi-substantial discussion going on at the moment” on the subject of carbon market structure.
