Bclear and US options keep NYSE Liffe growing


NYSE Euronext managed to grow its European and US derivatives businesses in 2009 by a combined 14%, unlike its main rivals, CME Group and Eurex, which suffered contractions in volume of 20% and 17% respectively.

The other leading global derivatives exchange group, Nasdaq OMX, enjoyed success in its US equity options business, where its two exchanges’ combined market share grew to 25.4% by December, from 19.8% in the previous December.
