Indian regulator approves three new currency futures


India’s two securities regulators, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Reserve Bank of India, have approved proposals to list three new currency futures with immediate effect.

In a circular released yesterday (January 19), India’s regulators confirmed that recognised derivatives exchanges can list euro-rupee, pound-rupee and yen-rupee futures.
