OTC market moves away from exotic rates and currency derivatives

A report released today (January 20) concludes that over-the-counter market participants shied away from exotic interest rate and currency derivatives in 2009 and a bigger proportion of their trades were vanilla transactions. It also found that use of over-the-counter derivatives to manage risk and hedge is increasing.
