Fredric Firestone leaves SEC
Frederic Firestone will leave the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) next month to become a partner in McDermott, Will & Emery in Washington.
He has worked for the US regulator for more than 12 years and most recently was associate director of the division of enforcement.
Robert Khuzami, director of the SEC's division of enforcement, said in a statement that: “His contributions to the division's successes are many and he will be sorely missed.”

Volume at Taifex remains steady in 2009Average daily volume at the Taiwan Futures Exchange (Taifex) was 538,349 in 2009. The total number of contracts traded fell 0.5% year-on-year to 135.12m.
