Banus leaves BarCap
Rod Banus, head of futures Asia Pacific at Barclays Capital, has left the bank. Officials in Singapore have not yet been told plans for his replacement.
Banus was transferred to Asia in April 2004 from Barclays in London, where he had been responsible for futures sales and marketing.
ICE clears first Platts iron ore swapIntercontinental Exchange has begun clearing swap contracts on the Platts Iron Ore 62% Iodex. The first cleared transactions were submitted to the bourse’s US clearing house, ICE Clear US, on February 5 by commodity broker London Dry Bulk, on behalf of Cargill and another counterparty.
