AlgoEngineering launches ambitious new tech firm with MisraAlgoEngineering, the US IT company that specialises in low latency trading, has set up a new venture based in Europe called Algo Technologies, which will be led by Hirander Misra as CEO.The venture, launched today (Monday March 15), aims to offer “next generation trading technology solutions with a particular focus on algorithmic trading, execution and market data services”.Misra was one of the founders of Chi-X Europe, the multilateral trading facility for equities, where he was chief operating officer. He resigned from Chi-X on February 19. The move followed the appointment of Alasdair Haynes as Chi-X CEO in December.Algo Technologies’ chairman will be Howard Morgan, a US computer science professor and entrepreneur with long experience of fostering technology businesses.
