TSE to launch first Asian dividend index market
The Tokyo Stock Exchange has announced the launch of a dividend index futures market, the first such market in Asia, TRADEfees.com reports. The market is scheduled to open on July 26 2010. The underlying indices for the market’s futures contracts will be the Nikkei Stock Average Dividend Point Index, the Topix Dividend Index and the Topix Core30 Dividend Index.
TRADEfees has said the TSE will begin calculation and publication of its Topix and Topix Core30 dividend Indices in June.
