Volumes plummet at LSE Group


The London Stock Exchange Group has endured a difficult month on its derivatives platforms, with the daily average number of trades across both exchanges down 39% year on year. A breakdown for the figures was not immediately available.

Overall, 6.3m contracts were traded, down from over 10m in the same period a year ago. This gave a daily average of 276,000 contracts, compared to March 2009’s 456,000. The decline in the notional value of trades...
