National Stock Exchange of India investigated for predatory pricing


The Competition Commission of India is investigating allegations that the National Stock Exchange of India deliberately kept trading fees for its currency derivatives low to suppress competition from the Multi Commodity Exchange of India.

The watchdog concluded on April 8, after an initial examination, that there were sufficient grounds for its director general to instigate an investigation. It must report within 45 days.
