Carbon volume slumps at ECX after Copenhagen


The European Climate Exchange, which has grown rapidly in recent years, suffered an unusual fall in trading volume in March.

Trades in the month fell 16%, relative to March a year ago, reaching 20,700 contracts a day, covering 20.7m tonnes of CO2. February’s average daily volume was 24,155 contracts.
