Green Exchange applies for DCM status


The Green Exchange has applied to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to become a designated contract market. If the application is approved, the Green Exchange, which is backed by CME Group, will be able to operate as a standalone entity and list futures and options based on environmental products.

At the moment, CME Group’s environmental contracts are listed on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
