US options trading grew 11% in April, relative to a year ago, the Options Clearing Corporation has said.
Equity options trading swelled by 9.9% from 304.6m contracts to 334.8m, while index and other options expanded by 30.3% from 19.9m contracts to 26.0m.
The Chicago Board Options Exchange held on to its number one slot, capturing 30.9% of trading – but last April, its market share was 32.4%. Its overall throughput grew 6% from 105.2m contracts to 111.4m. But...
